2007 Vintage Organic Sheng Puerh Tea Cake
Green Puerhs are produced by harvesting the large leaf varietal (Da Ye) from China's southern province of Yunnan. After being cooked thoroughly by pan-firing, no further oxidization occurs. The leaves are then sun-dried, steamed and pressed into a round disc called "Beeng Cha" or "Bing Cha". This high standard Puerh is our very first organic Puerh offering, made entirely from our own blend of high grown spring harvest leaf. The unique fruitiness and well rounded mouth-feel is accompanied by a gentle wisp of smokiness and that signature Yunnan sweetness in the finish. Delicious now, the amount of natural tannin in this tea also ensures its suitability for long term aging.
GROWING REGION
Yunnan, China: With abundant rainfall, mild climate, and fertile land, Yunnan Province has ideal conditions for tea cultivation and is known as the historical birthplace of medicinal teas.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
Break off approximately 4 grams of leaf, steep in good water at approximately 180F of for one minute with a standard six oz Gaiwan, leave lid covered and drain tea into another cup or vessel for service after 1 minute. Always adjust quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your personal preferences.

I recently bought the 2007 Vintage Organic Sheng Puerh Tea Cake and it is truly delicious! I am new to puerh (this is only the second puerh that I have tasted). Having said that, the depth of flavor is tremendous. The taste is smooth, strong, and complex (with hints of smokiness, fruitiness, sweetness, and tanginess).
It's so good that I bought two more before I even finished the first puerh cake!
