Hunan Jin Mao Feng Black Tea
The Hunan province is known for its spicy food and excellent teas. This beautifully hand-crafted black tea features shimmering gold tippy leaves, an elegantly sweet, mild caramel flavor and that ever elusive smooth textured mouth-feel. This is a work of art that will be perfect when served with milk and sugar, or as a fantastic, multi-steeping tea that pleases anytime and anywhere.
GROWING REGION
Hunan, China. This Province enjoys four distinctive seasons, with affluent rainfall in spring and summer followed by a dry autumn. Tea gardens are often located in hilly areas and sometimes in high altitude, mountainous regions. Varieties produced in this area include green, black, oolong, and various scented teas.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
We recommend using a standard, pre-warmed teapot filled with approximately 3 grams of leaf per 8-10 oz of water. Infuse 2-3 minutes with near-boiling water. Serve on its own, or try with honey and lemon or milk and sugar. A great blend for iced tea, too.
